Becoming a Member

Shalom! We are delighted that you are considering joining our synagogue! If you are ready to become a First Congregation Sons of Israel member, simply complete our online membership form. While we prefer online membership applications, if you require a printed form, please email us with your request.

Becoming an FCSI member means adding your voice, your presence, and your story to the life of our congregation that has served the St. Augustine Jewish community since 1924.

Members can take part in all aspects of synagogue life—Shabbat and holiday worship, educational programs for all ages, life-cycle celebrations, cultural events, and opportunities for community service.

We invite you to tour our synagogue or come to a Shabbat Service! For questions about membership, please see the details below. For any questions not answered here, email us and will get back to you very soon!

Our community values the diversity of Jewish experience. Whether you are single or married, raising children or an empty-nester, a lifelong Conservative Jew or new to the movement, we welcome you. Families of all configurations, interfaith households, and individuals at every stage of life have a place here.

Here’s how membership works:

  • Family Membership – For households with children or multiple adults.

  • Individual Membership – For single adults.

  • Associate Membership– For those who spend 1-6 months a year in St. Augustine or are members of another synagogue but wish to be connected to our community.
